Why were you interest in becoming a Trustee?<\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

My passion for literacy and its importance as a driver of social mobility has made serving as a Trustee a real privilege. The charity is run with dedication and skill at a truly national level and as a group of trustees we are deeply engaged in oversight but also strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are the benefits can a General Counsel bring to the Trustee role?<\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

There are some real benefits to a General Counsel becoming a trustee. We are ideally placed to navigate organisations and the challenges they face as well as advising and exercising appropriate oversight. In particular, our comfort with regulatory, organisational and, to a degree, financial complexity can help support good choices and stewardship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
